Secretly captured videos and photos of women to gain more followers; 19-year-old arrested in Bengaluru

BENGALURU: A youth has been arrested for secretly filming and photographing women without their consent and posting the content on Instagram. The accused, Dilawar Hussain, a 19-year-old food delivery worker, was caught by Bengaluru police for uploading videos of women under the page titled 'Bengaluru Night Life.' Police stated that he hails from Manipur.

The videos, shot without permission, featured women walking through busy streets such as MG Road, Brigade Road, Church Street, Koramangala, and Indiranagar.

The Ashok Nagar police registered a case suo motu after coming across the videos on Hussain’s Instagram account named 'Dilbar Jani-67.' According to the police, the youth filmed and uploaded the content in an attempt to gain more followers on Instagram.
