Six-year-old sustains injuries after hitting head on overhead barrier while popping out of car’s sunroof

BENGALURU: A six-year-old boy was injured after hitting his head on overhead barrier while popping out of car sunroof. The incident happened in Bengaluru's Vidyaranyapura on Saturday. The child sustained serious injuries. The footage of the incident was widely circulated on social media. Many shared the video on social media, raising concerns about road safety and parental negligence.

The footage shows a red SUV driving along a busy road, with the child standing through the car’s sunroof, seemingly enjoying the ride. The visuals were captured by a passenger sitting in the back of the vehicle. After the video came to the attention of the Motor Vehicles Department, a suo motu case has been registered against the driver. The boy's brother-in-law was driving the vehicle. A woman was also in the vehicle with him.
