MUMBAI: A video of Indian team's ODI captain Rohit Sharma practicing batting in the nets is currently trending on social media. Rohit himself shared the video on Instagram. Rohit captioned the video as "That felt good". Cricket fans, including on social media, are eagerly waiting for the hitman's return.

Rohit has been training with former India assistant coach Abhishek Nair for some time. The player last played for Men in Blue in March 2023.

Rohit's training is ahead of the selection of the Indian team for the upcoming series against Australia. Team India will fly to Australia next month for a tour consisting of three ODIs and five T20Is.

Sharma made his Test debut during the 2013–14 home series against the West Indies. He scored 177 on his debut and went on to make another century in the next match. Rohit has amassed 4301 runs in 67 Test matches, including 12 centuries and 18 half-centuries. Hitman's highest Test score is 212 runs.
