Moral policing cases are not new in Kerala, and another one has joined the list in the last few days. Unlike in previous cases, this moral policing act was led by a woman, and it adds to its curiousness. Last day, a young woman alleged that she saw a couple engaging in intimacy inside a car that was parked near her house in the rural precincts. This led to others in the locality hyping the issue, turning against the couple. The husband-wife duo claimed that they parked the vehicle after one of them turned ill due to a severe headache.

A few hours after the video was uploaded, the young woman who questioned the couple’s privacy faced the wrath of social media criticism. Many criticised her unscrupulous conduct, intruding into the personal lives of others. Amidst the criticism, the woman named Uthara has now responded to the issue.

“What I saw inside the car was the two engaging in an indecent act. I saw it and told my mother about the issue. The couple then took a video to humiliate us. Now, social media is mocking me with trolls, but I don’t have any problem. I just questioned the duo parking the car near my house to engage in an obscene act. I have the support of my neighbours and others. People can troll me. No problem,” said Uthara.
