Thiruvonam Naal Lakshmi Thamburatti, member of Pandalam royal family, passes away

PANDALAM: Thiruvonam Naal Lakshmi Thamburatti (Sukumari Thamburatti - 83), passed away on Thursday. She was a member of the Pandalam royal family and the daughter of the late Avittam Naal Mangala Thamburatti of Kaipuzha Mundakkal Palace and the late C.D. Purushothaman Namboori of Kottayam Kizhipuram.

The funeral will be held on Saturday at 2 pm at the Thycaud Electric Crematorium.

Husband: Late Ravi Varma (Kochappan) Thamburan of Tripunithura Kovilakam. Children: Subhaga Varma, Chithra Varma (Retd. Teacher R.R.V. School Kilimanoor), Son-in-law: Sajiv (Kottakkal Kovilakam), Subhash Valavoor.

Following the death, the Pandalam Valiya Koyikkal Dharmasastha Temple was closed. It will reopen on September 22 after purification rituals.
