During the promotion works of Rajinikanth’s movie ‘Coolie’, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan said director Lokesh Kanagaraj is among the ranks of one of India’s finest filmmakers. The big words from the legend, though, did not help the movie do wonders at the box office. Aamir also received flak for his half-baked cameo in the movie. In a recent interview, the Bollywood star made a volte-face on his opinion on the movie.

Aamir Khan:

“I accepted the role only for Rajini saab. I still don’t have any idea what my character was supposed to do. It was a badly written script. I just walked in and delivered a line or two and then disappeared. I did the role in admiration of Rajini sir and was not in any way involved in the project creatively. I thought it would end up as a fun role, but it failed to land.

Now I know why people didn’t accept the movie. Clearly, the role was a mistake. I will be more careful in the future.”

Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj is all set to direct a new movie that will mark the reunion of veterans Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth. The movie will be of the thriller genre.
