‘Is that audio Rahul Mamkootathil’s? MLA skips media’s questions

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rahul Mamkootathil MLA left without replying to the questions related to the audio that surfaced in connection with the sexual allegations. He left in his car without saying anything when asked if the audio was Rahul's. The MLA, who said what he had to say, did not give a proper answer to any of the media’s questions.

Rahul said that he did not come to the assembly to defy the Congress party and that he always abides with the party. Rahul clarified that he did not personally try to meet any Congress leader. Rahul was speaking to the media after attending the assembly session.

An investigation is underway into the allegations leveled against him. I will not go into the technicalities of it. I was jailed at the age of 18 for protesting against the Left government. I spent the longest time in jail during the Pinarayi Vijayan government. Therefore, it is sure that I will not get any benefit in the investigation, Rahul added. Rahul was earlier blocked by SFI workers. Rahul's car moved forward only after the police reached the spot.
