Road accident at Malappuram: Students returning from mosque after Dars study meet tragic end

MALAPPURAM: Two students died after a car crashed into the back of a lorry parked on the national highway. Three people were injured in the accident. The incident took place at Malappuram Valayaparam on the Thrissur-Kozhikode national highway. Dars students Usman, a native of Vailathur, and Shahul Hameed, a native of Vallikunnu, died. Usman died at the scene of the accident, and Shahul Hameed died at the MKH Hospital in Tirurangadi.

Abbas (25), a native of Puthantheru in Thanur, Fahad (24), a native of Vengara, and Sarjas (24), a native of Thanur, were injured in the accident. They were admitted to hospitals in Kottakkal and Tirurangadi. One person has been shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. All are Dars students of the Tirur Thalakkadathur Jamaat Mosque.

The accident took place at Thalappara VK Padi at around 8.30 pm. Eyewitnesses said that the car, which was going from Kolappuram to Kozhikode, crashed into the back of the parked lorry. The car involved in the accident was completely destroyed. The accident occurred when it was raining in the area. The car was carrying students who were returning from the mosque after Dars class.
