ISLAMABAD: More troops are deployed to deal with the protests against the government led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif in Pakistan. The protests continue in Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Pakistani media reports that two people were killed and 22 injured in the firing on the protest on Monday. The protest is being led by the Awami Action Committee.

The protesters came to the demonstration waving the Pakistani flag. The Pakistani army and the ISI-backed Muslim Conference opened fire on them. Reports say that the government, which aims to suppress the protests, has sent a thousand more troops to the region. The Awami Action Council alleges that even their fundamental rights are being violated, and this neglect has been going on for years.

The protests continue with 38 demands. It is demanded that the 12 assembly constituencies in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir should be changed, including the one reserved for migrants from Kashmir. People are protesting by closing shops in the protest area. "We will achieve our rights. The strike is Plan A. People's patience has run out. We have even planned a severe Plan D," said Awami Action Committee leader Shaukat Nawaz Mir.
