Woman dies of burns from gas in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman was charred to death when a leakage in an LPG gas cylinder led to a fire in Neyyattinkara. The dead is Sunitha Kumari of Muttakkad. The incident happened when she was making tea in the kitchen. Though she was taken to the hospital, her life could not be saved.

Sunitha was running a bakery near her house. She lives with her children in the house. Her daughter working in Technopark, had gone for work. Her son Akhil was at home at the time of the incident. Her son, who rushed to the spot, hearing her screams, along with his neighbours first took her to Neyyatinkara Hospital and then to the medical college hospital, but was not able to save her.
