NEW DELHI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday announced his decision to switch to Zoho, India’s ingenious email platform.
Shah on X:
“Hello everyone, I have switched to Zoho Mail. Kindly note the change in my email address. My new email address is amitshah.bjp@zohomail.in. For future correspondence via mail, kindly use this address. Thank you for your kind attention to this matter,” Shah wrote in his post.
Amit Shah’s switch to Chennai-based Zoho comes just days after PM Modi’s Swadeshi push when the prime minister asked Indian’s to embrace local over foreign products in the backdrop of the US-imposed tariff. Many ministers in the Modi cabinet have already switched to Zoho.
Zoho co-founder Sridhar Vembu thanked Amit Shah for his decision to endorse Zoho and credited the success and popularity to the engineers behind Zoho, who, according to Vembu, toiled hard for 20 long years to finesse the work.
Meanwhile, netizens noticed the quirky way in which Union minister Shah ended his tweet, which carried the catchphrase ‘Thank you for your kind attention to this matter’ often used by US President Donald Trump. This is also deemed as an implicit response to Trump for the hefty tariff imposed from the Oval Office.
