'Attack on Shafi a smokescreen to escape from Sabarimala controversy', LoP V D Satheesan responds

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan was seething in his response as he blamed CPM criminals inside police forces for attacking MP Shafi Parambil. Satheesan also said that the CPM leaders in respectable positions are stooping so low, making vulgar and vile remarks against Shafi on social media as an insult to injury. Satheesan said that all these tropes from CPM would not be sufficient to break the fighting spirit of the Congress party.

“Kozhikode Rural SP yesterday said that the police were mute spectators and didn’t even touch their lathis. Those blatant lies were busted with the visuals that came out today. Shafi was attacked deliberately. CPM is orchestrating this attack as a smokescreen to escape from the Ayyapa gold controversy. The corruption and loot of this government is now an open secret that has settled into the minds of all Malayalees.

Some police officers are more devoted to CPM and ready to crawl upon a command. They are drawing salaries from the government but are working according to orders from the AKG Centre. Don’t forget that a time will come when you will be held accountable.”
