KOCHI: The sponsors confirmed that Argentina will face Australia in Kaloor International Stadium in Kochi as part of the friendly match agreed on November 17th. The ticket sales are expected to start in the coming days, and the football fanatics in Kerala are in high élan over reports of football legend Lionel Messi’s visit.

The euphoria over the news is slowly fading after repeated reports from sports journalists in Argentina saying that the Kerala schedule has been replaced with Angola in Africa. Gaston Edul, a sports journalist linked with AFA (Argentina Football Association), broke the news, and it is unlikely to be erroneous. Edul is known for his association with AFA and is a reliable journalist.
