
Shreyas in ICU
Indian cricket team vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, who was injured while fielding in the third ODI against Australia on October 25, has been shifted to the intensive care unit of the hospital. Shreyas, who suffered internal bleeding from his rib injury, was taken for tests and was found to have a damaged spleen. This is why he was shifted to the ICU.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced in a press release that Shreyas' health condition is improving. The BCCI also announced that arrangements have been made to bring Shreyas' family members to Sydney.
Prathika will not be able to play
Indian women's World Cup opener Prathika Rawal injured her knee and ankle while fielding in the match against Bangladesh the other day. Prathika, who was unable to play, was taken to the hospital. With this, it is confirmed that Prathika will not be able to play in the World Cup anymore. Prathika had scored a century in the match against New Zealand. The semi-final between India and Australia is on Thursday.
