This superstar receives 200 crore for hosting Bigg Boss? producer opens up

MUMBAI: Bigg Boss is one of the most popular reality shows in India, with versions in several languages. Each regional edition is hosted by a leading star- in Malayalam, it's Mohanlal, while in Hindi, the host is Salman Khan. For a long time, there have been rumours that Salman Khan earns between Rs 150 crore and Rs 200 crore for hosting Bigg Boss.

Now, Rishi Negi, a representative of the show's producers, has addressed these rumours. "The contract is between Salman Khan and Jio Hotstar. So, I don't know the exact amount he is paid. But whatever the rumour is, he is worth every penny," Negi said.

Negi added that Salman regularly watches the episodes of Bigg Boss and sometimes even goes through hours of unedited footage before appearing on the show.

"Salman Khan has his own views. He never talks about anything he doesn't believe in. The claim that he receives information through an earpiece is just a rumour. He gathers details from those watching the show and then speaks only after carefully watching and understanding it himself," Rishi Negi added.
