Cleanest Indore, dirtiest Madurai: No city from Kerala in either list; national Swachh Survekshan rankings out

NEW DELHI: Madurai in Tamil Nadu is the dirtiest city in the country. This is according to the Swachh Survekshan 2025 report.

Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi are among the top ten dirtiest cities in the list. The list is prepared based on waste management and public cleanliness. The criteria are unplanned urban development, inefficient waste disposal, and citizen negligence. Madurai has 4823 points. Ludhiana is second with 5272 points. Delhi is at the tenth position.

Cleanest Indore

Indore in Madhya Pradesh has once again been named the cleanest city. Surat and Navi Mumbai are at the second and third positions. No city from Kerala has made it to the list in either of the two.
