Dispute over football match led to murder in capital city; 19-year-old stabbed to death during student gang fight

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 19-year-old was stabbed to death in the capital city. An argument that took place near Thycaud in Thiruvananthapuram is what led to the murder. Alan, a native of Rajaji Nagar, was brutally murdered. The murder was the result of a clash between youngsters near the Thycaud temple.

The incident is believed to have been caused by a dispute over a football match. Two men took Alan, who was stabbed, to the hospital on a bike, but his life could not be saved.

Two groups from Rajaji Nagar and Poojappura were clashing near the Thycaud Shasta temple. Alan had come here to mediate. Alan was stabbed by Poojappura natives. Eyewitness Mithun said that the stabbing took place during a gang fight. Mithun said that there were more than thirty students, and most of them were wearing school uniforms.
