‘Registered is politically motivated case, identity of complainant has not been revealed even once,' responds Sandeep Varier

PALAKKAD: The police had the other day registered a case against some including congress leader Sandeep Varier for defaming the woman, who filed a complaint against Rahul Mamkootathil MLA. Sandeep Varier has now responded against the case. In a Facebook post, he said this is a politically motivated false case and that he has not revealed the identity of the complainant.

The case filed against him after some misused the photo he posted when attended the wedding a year ago, will be faced legally. Sandeep alleged that the Pinarayi government is using a third-rate tactic to divert attention from issues including the Sabarimala gold theft case.

Apart from KPCC general secretary Sandeep Varier, Deepa Joseph and Ranjitha Pulikan are also accused in the case. The first accused is Mahila Congress Pathanamthitta district general secretary, Supreme Court lawyer Deepa Joseph is the second accused and Sandeep Varier is the fourth accused. The fifth accused, Rahul Easwar, was arrested the other day.
