'Small fights with Sreeni, beauty of friendship'; Actor Mohanlal responds

KOCHI: Actor Mohanlal expressed condolences on the death of actor Sreenivasan. The movies in which Mohanlal and Sreenivasan acted together are considered favourites of Malayali audiences.

Mohanlal:

“I don't think that I am missing Sreenivasan. I believe that he is one of the rare few who has the possibility of always living in our minds through films. We have been on a journey together for many years. We had a closeness and family ties that went beyond being film actors.

I don't keep animosity with anyone. Maybe Sreeni had some fallout with me at some point. I consider that the beauty of friendship. I consider the small fights between us to be a part and parcel of life.

He presented topics sarcastically through movies. He saw the movie differently from others. Recently, when he was undergoing treatment at Amrita, I went there. I couldn’t meet him as he needed time for recuperation. Everyone is very saddened by his demise. He has been close with Sathyan Anthikad and Priyadarshan more than me. More than anyone, I’m also in grief of losing a friend of over 40 years.
