Kerala Congress veteran Thomas Kuthiravattom passes away

KOTTAYAM: Prominent Kerala Congress leader Thomas Kuthiravattom passed away. He was 80. Thomas Kuthiravattom breathed his last at his home in Kallissery, Chengannur. He had been suffering from age-related ailments for some time.

Thomas Kuthiravattom is one of the founding leaders of KSC, the student wing of the Kerala Congress. He was a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1984 to 1991. The last public event that Thomas Kuthiravattom attended was the KSC anniversary meeting held in Changanassery in October 2024.

Since then, he had been taking a break from public events owing to ill health. He was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago due to his deteriorating health. The body is currently at his home in Kallissery.
