'Reason why my father couldn't control his emotions'; Tejalakshmi opens up

Actress Urvashi and Manoj K Jayan's daughter Tejalakshmi is all set to debut with the film 'Sundriyayaval Stella'. During the press meet called by the makers of the movie, Manoj K Jayan got emotional at the presence of his daughter, and the incident went viral on social media. Tejalakshmi’s act of maturity to console her father at the press conference was appreciated by netizens.

And now, Tejalakshmi has opened up about the real reason why Manoj K Jayan failed to control his emotions on that day.

“There are many private moments that we went through together. All those might have come together for my father, and hence he got taken aback. I am a private person who doesn't want to express my emotional side publicly.

The only thing my parents advised me ahead of my jump to the cinema was to follow discipline. This includes reaching the set before the scheduled time and treating everyone equally. My mother had told me not to be conscious in front of the camera and treat everyone like family.

When I expressed a desire to pursue a career in cinema, my father put a condition. That was to ask permission from my mother," said Teja.

“Urvashi is arguably the best actress South India has produced. I suggested that Teja ask her permission before pursuing a career in cinema. Urvashi agreed to the proposal happily,” said Manoj K Jayan.
