
Mammootty and celebrated auteur Adoor Gopalakrishnan are teaming up after 32 years. The title reveal will be done at the Pooja of the film, which will be held on Friday. The shooting is planned to last for about a month in Ernakulam. Another location is Wayanad. Nayanthara will return to Malayalam cinema, playing a pivotal role in the movie. State Award-winning cinematographer Shehnad Jalal has been roped into the project. Indrans, Vijayaraghavan, Aliyar and others comprise the cast. The story is by K.V. Mohankumar.
Mammootty and Adoor last worked together in 1993 for Vidheyan. The other films the two colloborated were Anantharam (1987) and Mathilukal (1989). The performances in Mathilukal and Vidheyan earned Mammootty National Awards for Best Actor.
After Adoor, Mammootty will be acting in a Tamil film starring Dhanush. The film, which will feature Mammootty and Dhanush, is directed by Rajkumar Periyaswamy, the maker behind Sivakarthikeyan's blockbuster Amaran. Sai Pallavi is the heroine.
