'Uorfi Javed expelled from Islam by fatwa, now Geeta Bharadwaj'; Bigg Boss star breaks silence

She is well-known for wearing outfits that many fashion designers would not even consider. Recently, Uorfi addressed rumours circulating on social media regarding her religion and personal identity. There were claims that she had been expelled from Islam and had changed her name to Geeta Bharadwaj. This information was shared in a video by social media influencer Faizan Ansari.

Uorfi has addressed these campaigns, stating, "I don't follow any religion; I am an atheist. So, where can you remove me from? Where can you remove someone who has no belonging?" Additionally, Uorfi responded to rumours about her changing her name to Geeta Bharadwaj, saying, "Who said this? There are no reports. People are making all this up on their own."

Faizan Ansari announced in the video that he is making this statement publicly so that everyone is aware that Uorfi Javed is no longer a Muslim. "So finally, we Muslims have decided that Uorfi Javed is not a Muslim anymore... Her new name is Geeta Bhardwaj," he said in the video. Ansari declared that Uorfi has no place in the Muslim community or society and demanded that she no longer be referred to as Uorfi Javed. Ansari claimed to have submitted a written letter to a Maulana, whom he described as the head of the All India Muslim community, regarding this decision.
