KSRTC takes life of scooter rider; bus crashes into shop in Thiruvananthapuram, several injured

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: One person died after a KSRTC bus crashed into a shop on MC Road. The accident took place near the Koppam International Swimming Pool near Vempayam at around 4:30 pm today.

The accident occurred when the bus was giving way to a scooter. The bus rammed into the shop with the scooter. The scooter passenger, Jayachandran (56), a native of Konchira, Vembayam, has reportedly died. The passengers in the bus were also injured. They have been admitted to a nearby hospital. Locals, police and fire force jointly carried out the rescue operation. A major traffic jam has been created in the area following the accident.
