After the trailer of the controversial film 'The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond' was released, there was a lot of criticism against the film, including on social media. The scene where a girl is forced to eat beef sparked a huge protest in Kerala. The criticism was that the film portrayed Kerala wrongly and insulted the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had also come out against the film. However, what producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah said about the film is now being discussed. Vipul's argument is that Kerala Story 2 is not targeted against Kerala. The remark was made at a function held in Delhi in connection with Kerala Story 2.
The promotion of the second part of The Kerala Story, which will be released on February 27, was held in Delhi today (Monday). 37 women from North Indian states, claiming to be victims of love jihad, participated in the event. However, none of them were Malayalees. The media members then asked the film's producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah and director Kamakhya Narayan Singh to clarify the film's connection with Kerala.
The producer responded that the film is not targeted against Kerala or its people, but rather aimed at highlighting a broader, nationwide issue of "manipulative conversions. However, Vipul Amrutlal Shah added that the first part of Kerala Story is related to Kerala and that they had presented 26 people regarding its subject. The explanation given is that Kerala Story 2 is a pan-Indian film and talks about something happening all over India.
