KOCHI: Friend confesses to crime in Vyttila railway track case. Shaji, a native of Ponnurunni, has confessed to the crime in the incident where a woman's body was found on the railway track in Vyttila. The police are questioning him, a High Court employee. The cause of death will be clear only after the postmortem of the woman.

Sudha Baby, a native of Kottayam, was killed. The police had received CCTV footage of her walking near the railway line with Shaji. Shaji was seen returning alone after a long time in the footage. These CCTV footage were crucial in the investigation. Police said that Sudha Baby and Shaji have been friends for a long time.

The body of the woman was found near the railway tracks under the Vyttila flyover this morning. The loco pilot of the Amrita Express, who was passing through, saw the woman's body near the tracks. He immediately informed the authorities. The Maradu police, who arrived at the scene, conducted an investigation and found that the woman had been killed.

The police found that the death was not caused by being hit by a train. The police had stated that there were signs of strangulation on the body and blood stains were found nearby. The police also found a mobile phone near the body. The woman was identified through an investigation focused on this.
