TEHRAN: U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that the only acceptable outcome for the ongoing conflict with Iran is "unconditional surrender," as military operations in the region intensify.

Following this pronouncement, joint U.S.-Israeli strikes have expanded across Tehran and Beirut. Israel reported the destruction of underground bunkers used by the late Iranian Supreme Leader, as well as critical military infrastructure, including drone storage facilities, ballistic missile launchers, and arsenals belonging to the Revolutionary Guard. Intense strikes were also carried out against Hezbollah centers in Lebanon, with civilians in Qom receiving evacuation warnings ahead of expected operations.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth signaled that military actions are expected to intensify in the coming days.

In response, Iran has accelerated its own strikes against targets in Tel Aviv, as well as U.S. air bases and military assets across Gulf nations, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Dubai. Additionally, the U.S. military confirmed the destruction of an Iranian drone carrier ship, identified as the Epic Fury, which was struck and set ablaze on Thursday.

President Trump also addressed the political future of the Iranian leadership, stating, "We want to be involved in the process of choosing the person who is going to lead Iran into the future. Khamenei's son is unacceptable to me."
