There is no end to controversies in the divorce scandal of actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam president Vijay. His wife, Sangeetha, filed a petition in the Chengalpattu family court alleging Vijay had cheated her with an actress, whom netizens adjudged to be Trisha. The actress even came under severe cyber-attack following the news. Recently, hyping the rumours and leaving everyone thunderstruck, both Vijay and Trisha attended a wedding reception together. Now, veteran actor Parthiban's remarks about Trisha are going viral on social media.

While speaking at the Galatta Awards 2026, the presenters asked Parthiban to give his opinion on each star and the characters in the epic movie Ponniyin Selvan. When it came to Trisha’s character, Kundavai in Ponniyin Selvan, the photo of the actress appeared on the screen behind.

“It would be better to ask Kundavai to stay at home. If not, she will create a lot of problems," the actor said. After the video of this went viral on social media, many people came to criticise Parthiban, while others applauded his guts to come against the actress.

Many said Parthiban's comments alluded to Trisha coming together with Vijay at the wedding reception amid controversies of an extramarital affair and a divorce.

Currently, it is reported that Vijay has offered Rs 250 crore as compensation to Sangeetha and their children, Jason Sanjay and Divya Sasha. It is not clear how this amount will be divided.
