
An Indian origin man faces the risk of deportation from the United States after his dance in front of the World War II Memorial in Washington, DC, went viral, drawing immense criticism online. The video posted by the user Madhu Raju showed a couple dancing in front of the revered World War II Memorial. The video, posted on TikTok, became instantly viral, inviting serious criticism of the duo.
It is reported that the couple danced to a Telugu song at the location that honours 16 million Americans who were on the battlefield during World War II, as well as more than 4,00,000 troops who died in the conflict.
Many citizens of the United States took offence over the incident and critiqued the duo for disrespecting the soldiers who laid their lives for the nation. A clarion call was also made to deport the youngster. Many netizens also asked the authorities to put the couple for mandatory civic sense class before deporting them back to India.

However, the Indian diaspora defended the youngster, saying that the duo did not commit any deadly crime as claimed by netizens. They said the duo reflected the celebration and mirth that is innate within Indian nationals.
As per reports, the US immigration is going through the issue and will assess if the crime necessitates a need to check on the visa status of the youngster.
