Sangeetha Sornalingam, the wife of actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party founder Vijay, had recently filed for divorce, citing Vijay’s relationship with another actress as the reason. Ever since this report came out, actress Trisha Krishnan has been facing widespread cyber attacks, with several social media users accusing her of being responsible for the reported issues in Vijay’s marriage. Now, some old remarks made by Trisha about Vijay in an interview have resurfaced and attracted attention.
“Vijay is amazing. I have acted with him in four films. Honestly, during the start of ‘Ghilli’, he didn’t have a close friendship with me. As everyone knows, Vijay is very quiet. He comes to the set, does his work, and that’s it. I am grateful to the ‘Ghilli’ team, because that’s where we became good friends," Trisha said.

"Vijay has always been a special person in my life. Some of the biggest hits in my career were with him. He has never shown anger on set. He is extremely professional and finishes any work he is assigned. There are some people we always remember with love and respect. Vijay is that person for me.”
Vijay and Trisha have been one of the hit pairs in Tamil cinema. They first acted together in the 2004 film ‘Ghilli’. Later, they appeared together in films like Thirupachi, Aadhi, and Kuruvii. After a 15-year gap, the pair reunited on screen in 2023 in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film ‘Leo’.
