Qatar military helicopter crashes after technical snag amid ongoing tensions in UAE

RIYADH: A Qatari military helicopter crashed off the coast of the UAE as tensions continue in Central Asia. The accident occurred during a routine mission. The Interior Ministry said that the cause of the accident was a technical fault. Efforts are underway to locate the people on board the helicopter. The Qatari Interior Ministry announced that special teams have been deployed for this purpose.

The Maritime Search and Rescue Team of the General Directorate of Coasts and Borders Security and the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Forces are jointly searching in the area. However, the exact number of people on board the helicopter has not been released.
