Rs 51 crore profit for ‘Thaai Kizhavi’; Radhika Sarathkumar's movie stuns Tamil film industry

‘Thaai Kizhavi’, the film that came with modest publicity, has shattered all the equations of the Tamil film world. The comedy-drama film, starring Radhika Sarathkumar in the lead role, was made at a budget of Rs 9 crore. In the Tamil Industry, this budget is considered paltry.

After the release, the film has now earned Rs 60 crores worldwide. Produced by actor Sivakarthikeyan, the film is directed by Sivakumar Murukesan. Radhika played the central character in the movie. The movie is simply running on mouth publicity, with praise coming from all quarters.

Radhika plays the role of a money-lender named Pavunu. The story revolves around the selfish sons of Pavunu who try to transfer their mother's properties to their own names. Singapuli, Aruldoss, and Munish are other stars in the movie.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan will appear in the lead role in the film Seyon, directed by Sivakumar Murugesan. The big-budget film is produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendra.
