VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan is currently recuperating after undergoing a successful surgical procedure on Saturday evening. Doctors have advised the actor-politician to observe strict bed rest for a period of 7 to 10 days.
The health scare began on Friday morning during an official administrative meeting in Amaravati. According to a press release issued by JSP Political Secretary P. Hariprasad, Pawan Kalyan experienced severe physical discomfort while discussing state matters with officials.
While the Deputy CM had reportedly been facing minor health issues for the past few months, the sudden escalation on Friday led to the immediate cancellation of all his official engagements. He was subsequently admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad (Jubilee Hills) for evaluation.
Following a series of medical examinations, including an MRI scan, doctors determined that immediate surgery was necessary to address the underlying issue. Reports suggest the procedure was related to a spinal disc-related condition, potentially aggravated by an old injury sustained during the filming of the action sequences for Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
The surgery was successfully performed on Saturday evening, and the JSP leader is now reportedly in stable condition.
