THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala health minister KK Shailaja on Saturday said that 11 more persons have tested positive for coronavirus in the state. Out of these, 6 cases were reported from Kasargod, while one each were reported from Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Palakkad and Kannur districts.
Among the 11 infected people. 5 had recently returned from Dubai while 3 others had attended the Nizamuddin congregation in Delhi. Two persons from Kasargod have contracted the disease through close interaction with infected people.
Meanwhile, 8 infected persons (7 persons from Kannur and one from Thiruvananthapuram) tested negative for the virus on Saturday, the minister said. As of now, a total of 306 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the state. While 254 persons are undergoing treatment in various hospitals, 50 persons were cured of the decease.
