COVID-19: Kerala reports 1417 fresh cases on Tuesday, 1242 cases through contact; 1426 recoveries

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state has confirmed 1417 new COVID cases on Tuesday, CM Pinarayi Vijayan said. Among the new cases, 1242 persons developed the disease through contact including 105 cases without an identified source of infection. 36 health workers developed the disease in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1426 patients tested negative for the virus on Tuesday, the minister added.

The state reported 5 COVID deaths on Tuesday.
