BENGALURU: The Karnataka High Court has adjourned the hearing of bail plea filed by Bineesh Kodiyeri, who was arrested for black money and benami links with the Bengaluru drug trade case, to November 24. The court adjourned the hearing after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) was questioning Bineesh over his involvement in drug dealing.
Meanwhile, Bineesh's lawyer argued that the ED's arrest was illegal. Bineesh had borrowed Rs 39 lakhs and then handed it over to Anoop Mohammad to start a hotel. However, he was not aware of Anoop's drug dealings. He has received remuneration for only 7 films in which he acted. The lawyer also argued that Bineesh acted in other films without getting paid for his acting.
