Certain factors are used as criteria to evaluate the progress of a country. The most important thing is the health security of the citizens. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission project, which provides health and medical information to every citizen through a special identity card. According to this, everyone can get a 14 digit health identification card. With this card, you can find information about diagnosed diseases, blood type, doctor who examined you, information on medications being used, and other health issues. The advantage of this is that the patient who has been issued the card does not have to explain the technicalities to the new doctor. People who are illiterate are not even able to say the name of the medicine when the doctor asks them which medicine they are taking now. The case of the elderly is no different. Even well-educated people may not be able to remember the names of all the drugs clearly. The card will help the doctor to know the patient's health information as personal medical information based on the card number will be added directly to the mission portal from the hospital. It was first successfully implemented in Chandigarh, Ladakh, Daman and Diu, Puducherry and Lakshadweep. Now it is going to be implemented all over the country.

People are initially reluctant to take the card no matter how good it is. Many were initially reluctant to take the Aadhaar card. There have even been cases against the implementation of the Aadhaar card for years. Many people thought that living in a country without a document was a right. Is it OK for children to come and go without enrolling in a class? It is the same with living in a country without an identity document. Identification document is essential not only to provide services individually but also to prevent many scams. When it came to the point of not getting a LPG connection without Aadhaar, everyone started taking it. The health card will now be mandatory. There is no system in place to register it at the hospital as soon as a baby is born.

Some have criticized the leak of personal information on the Aadhaar card. Every project has some drawbacks. Rejecting the plan in its name is tantamount to burning down a house for fear of rats. Responsible agencies should strengthen monitoring to ensure that data is not leaked. Data analyzing can prevent the spread of many diseases. We have recognized the importance of data in this period of Covid expansion. The data on the health card can certainly be expected to help create a healthier country.
