ALUVA: The investigation report is in favour of Aluva circle inspector in the case of law student Mofiya Parveen (21), who committed suicide soon after the talks held at the police station on the complaint of domestic harassment. The report of Aluva DySP P K Sivankutty had mentioned only some minor flaws from the side of the circle inspector and stated that he scolded her when she beat her husband in front of them. SP K Karthik has demanded a detailed report.

DySP P K Sivankutty made the report after talking to those who came to the station on Monday. In the report, no serious lapse was mentioned from the side of Aluva circle inspector C L Sudheer. Following that, the SP sought a detailed report. The officer was transferred to police headquarters after it was alleged that he treated her badly and action was sought against him in the suicide note. Mofiya’s husband Muhammad Suhail (27) of Kothamangalam, his parents Yousuf (63) and Rukhiya (55) were arrested on four charges including abetment to suicide. A major clash broke out in the premises of the Aluva police station during the strike staged by congress activists in protest against the incident.
