Daily Covid cases cross three lakh again; Kerala stands second in country

NEW DELHI: 3,06,064 new Covid cases were confirmed in the country in the last 24 hours. There is an 8.2 percent decrease in the numbers when compared to last day’s data. With this, the number of people undergoing Covid treatment in the country has reached a total of 22,49,335. As of now, 3,95,43,328 Covid cases have been reported in the country. The current Test Positivity Rate (TPR) is 20.75 percent. 439 deaths were recorded yesterday, raising the country’s overall deaths to 4,89,848.

Karnataka has reported the highest number of positive cases with 50,210 new cases. Kerala stands second with 45,449 cases reported yesterday; followed by Maharashtra with 40,805 new cases. Tamil Nadu and Gujarat are in fourth and fifth places with 30,580 and 16,617 cases respectively.
