'Contrary to facts, Edavela Babu should apologize,' Shammi Thilakan lashes out

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Actor Shammi Thilakan has objected to the inclusion of his name in a press release issued against actor Vijay Babu by Edavela Babu, the general secretary of the organization AMMA. Taking it to Facebook, Shammi Thilakan alleged that his name was dragged into the press release issued by the organisation announcing the action taken against Vijay Babu.

'My name was unnecessarily included in the press statement issued by Edavela Babu announcing the action taken against Vijay Babu, an accused who is in hiding fearing arrest. Edavela Babu intended to tarnish my reputation by including my name in the press statement. It is a disgrace to do such heinous acts while serving as the secretary of the organisation. Edavela Babu must withdraw the statement and express regret,' Shammi Thilakan wrote.
