News spread in media is false; Health minister clarifies on news that she is Covid positive

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A news that the Health minister Veena George has tested positive for Covid was circulated through various online media yesterday. However, the minister herself has now revealed the truth of the incident through her official Facebook page. Minister Veena George said that she had fever for the past few days but was tested negative even after two RTPCR tests.

The minister said that the news spread through the media without inquiring into the facts was false and she was informing this as it might cause difficulties to others. She also tested negative for dengue fever and stated that this could be a viral fever.
