FIFA threatens to ban India, likely to miss U-17 Women's World Cup, action after examining SC order

kk

NEW DELHI: FIFA, the international football organization is against the Supreme Court's order to dissolve the governing body of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and to hold elections immediately. The governing body of FIFA asked to send the full version of the court order immediately and said that they will announce further action after examining it in detail.

The explanation is that if anything contrary to FIFA's policies is noticed, then they will ban the Football Federation and the venue of Under-17 Women's World Cup which is to be held in October in India will be shifted from here. FIFA had earlier warned that it is up to them to approve the national federations and if any other parties intervene in it, then they will face a ban. The Supreme Court ordered to conduct elections on August 28.
