Irshad's mysterious death: Three people in gold smuggling surrender

KALPETTA: Three persons have surrendered in the court in connection with the mysterious death of Irshad, a native of Panthirikkara, who was kidnapped by a gold smuggling gang. Vythiri native Mizfar (28), Rippon native Shanavas (32) and Koduvally native Irshad (37) surrendered in the Kalpetta CJM Court on Monday.

Kalpetta Chief Judicial Magistrate KR Sunilkumar ordered the police chief to produce the accused in the court of jurisdiction where the case is pending. The court issued the order rejecting the police's demand seeking custody of the accused. The accused should be taken to the court under police protection. The gold smuggling and had abducted Irshad abducted to Wayanad.
