Man drives another person's car after getting drunk, hits nearby transformer as woman inside car made noise

KOTTAYAM: In a mixup, a man got into the wrong car after getting drunk at a bar. Ashley, who hails from Chottanikara, after getting drunk at a bar, saw a car lying on the road and took it away thinking it was his. A woman who was in the car made noise, and he panicked and rammed the car into a nearby transformer. The incident took place last night.

Ashley took the car of a man who went to buy things at a store near the bar. Ashley's car was also parked near this car. He told the police that he mistook it for his car and also mistook it for his family when he saw a woman and child in the car.

When Ashley took the car, the housewife who was in the car made noise. Hearing this, the locals rushed to the car. Ashley panicked and when the housewife grabbed the steering wheel of the moving car, the car lost control and hit a nearby transformer. The locals informed the Chottanikara police following the incident. The police arrived and arrested Ashley. The car was damaged in the accident. The woman inside the vehicle was also injured.
