THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There was a robbery bid at gunpoint in the capital city. The incident happened Monday morning in Edapazhinji. Though the police and the locals stopped them from fleeing, they threatened them with guns.

The two-member team reached the vacant in a yellow Activa. The neighbours noticed them coming from the house. When talked to them, they tried to escape in the scooter. One of the neighbours smelt something fishy and snatched the key of the scooter. Soon one of the thieves took a gun from their bag and pointed at them. The neighbours said they spoke in Hindi. Their visuals are clear on CCTV. It has been found that the scooter belongs to a person from Kulathur. The vehicle was stopped by a policeman at Sreekandeswaram after the police passed a message. They threatened the cop and escaped from there.
