Man sets ablaze wife and daughters for questioning extramarital affair

MUMBAI: In a shocking incident, a man has killed his wife and daughters by setting them ablaze. The tragic incident took place in Thane, Maharashtra. The deceased have been identified as Preethi (35), her daughter Sameera (14) and Sameeksha (11). Police have arrested the accused named Prasad Shantaram Patil. According to the police, Prasad torched his wife and daughters for questioning about his extramarital affair. Both the girls who were undergoing treatment for severe burns succumbed to their injuries today. The children's mother died on Sunday.

Although the accused committed the crime on Saturday morning, the police got information about the incident at 8:30 in the morning. Therefore, they couldn't take Preethi and her children to the hospital in time.
