Woman delivers baby girl, disappointed husband and mother-in-law commit suicide by eating chicken curry laced with poison

CHENNAI: Disappointed after 20-year-old delivering a baby girl, her husband and his mother committed suicide. The incident happened at Mandalavadi in Jolarpet in Tamil Nadu. 27-year-old Murali and his mother Sivakami (55) were the two who ended their lives.

Murali’s wife Induja delivered a baby girl on Saturday. Her husband and mother-in-law were with her in the hospital in Tirupathur. Soon after hearing the news of the baby, they returned home disappointedly. They later ended their lives after having chicken curry laced with poison.

The neighbours after finding the house locked, informed the police. The police reached the spot, broke opened the door and found them lying dead. Sivakami’s two sons had committed suicide years ago. Murali and Induja got married a year back.
