CHENNAI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah seems to have changed his controversial stance of bringing Hindi into use across the country. Amit Shah, who had advocated the imposition of Hindi across the country as the official language instead of English, has now demanded that the Tamil Nadu government should take steps to make the Tamil language the medium of higher education in the state. He was speaking during the 75th-anniversary celebrations of India Cements.

"Students in Tamil Nadu can achieve their dreams by studying in Tamil medium. Through this Tamil language can be developed," Amit Shah said.
