Bangladesh bowl out India for 186 runs in ODI match

DHAKA: Batting first at the Sher-e Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Indian batsmen struggled to score even double figures in the first ODI between India and Bangladesh today. India lost the toss and batted first, only four players scored double figures for India. Rishabh Pant, who is struggling to be in form was not included in the team. KL Rahul, who was the wicketkeeper instead of Pant, is team India’s top scorer today , Rahul scored 73 runs in 70 balls. Captain Rohit Sharma (27), Shreyas Iyer (24) and Washington Sundar (19) are the others who have completed double figures. For Bangladesh, former captain Shakib Al Hasan took five wickets conceding only 36 runs in five overs. Ebadot Hossain conceded 47 runs and took four wickets. India scored a total of 186 runs in 41 overs.

In reply batting, Bangladesh also struggled. Najmal Hussain was dismissed by Deepak Chahar on the very first ball. Bangladesh’s score was only 26 runs when Anamul Haque (14) got out. Shakib Al Hasan and captain Litan Das, who came next, played cautiously. Das scored 41 runs while Shakib scored 29 runs off 38 balls. Current score of Bangladesh is 110 runs for four wickets in 29 overs. They need 77 runs in 21 overs to win. Mushfiqur Rahim (11) and Mahmudullah (10) are at the crease.
