SHIMLA: Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh election results will be out tomorrow. This will be a crucial battle for the Congress. Most of the exit polls predict Congress’ defeat. Meanwhile, in Himachal Pradesh, the Congress state unit has expelled 30 senior leaders from the party.
They have been expelled from primary membership for the next six years for anti-party activities. All the leaders are party office-bearers in Shimla. The strict disciplinary action was taken following a complaint received from the Chopal Congress block committee. Currently, Congress candidate Subhash Manglate, who contested from Chopal constituency in 2017 is contesting from here as a rebel candidate against BJP MLA Balbir Verma, as he was denied seat. It is indicated are that those who are in favor of him had to face the action.
